Meet The Softball Coaches
Candyce Carter
This is my 8th year teaching and coaching at the high school level. I am in my third year at Lake Creek High School. Prior to coming to LCHS, I spent 5 years at Barbe High School where I was the head coach. We saw a ton of success at Barbe where we were State Runner Ups in 2019 and State Champions in 2021. Before that I spent time coaching at the college level at McNeese State University as well as University of Louisiana Monroe. We won back to back conference tournament championships as well as regular season champions.
My father has been a baseball coach in Texas for 30+ years, he is currently at PNG and my mom continues to be our biggest support system day in and day out. I also have a sister and brother-in-law whose family lives in Montgomery with their children Reagan (7) and Carson Jack. (4) My entire family is excited and grateful to be a LION!

Kacy Spivey
I am excited to be joining the Lion family! My coaching experience has taken me from Virginia to Willis, and I’m eager to continue growing both professionally and personally in this new role.

I earned my degree in Health and Human Performance from Cumberland University, where I had the privilege of playing softball. I have had the opportunity of playing collegiate ball with Coach Carter, I am grateful for the opportunity to now get to coach alongside her.

In addition to my coaching experience, I've spent several years coaching travel ball, helping athletes develop both on and off the field. My greatest inspiration, though, comes from my two boys—Jenson, 7, and Cyler, 6. They are my driving force, and I strive to balance my passion for coaching with the love and dedication I have for my family.
As I step into this next chapter, I look forward to an exciting season, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team. Let’s Go Lions!
Dylan Larsen
This is my 6th year coaching and teaching at Lake Creek High School and my 7th year in education. I also coach the Wide Receivers and Tight Ends for the football team and spent the previous five years as a part of the Lake Creek baseball coaching staff. I am also the huddle coach for Lake Creek's Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Prior to my time at LCHS, I taught 7th grade Language Arts and coached at McCullough Junior High in The Woodlands. Before coaching and teaching, I attended Texas A&M University where I received my bachelor's degree in English, minor in Kinesiology, and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
I have been married to my wife, Erin, for 3 years. Together we have a beautiful baby girl, Mia (2), who you have probably seen "doing cheers" with the Lake Creek cheerleaders at our football games. We also have two dogs and a cat.
Getting to be a part of the Lake Creek High School community has been a blessing to my family. We are extremely excited to be a part of the already storied Softball Program, and I look forward to continuing the success and winning traditions for years to come!
